Wow, the video and the words brought me straight back to a story I had been thinking about writing for years. The premise of the story: a young college student meets and falls in love with an ROTC cadet. The two marry and travel around the world. They have two beautiful children. Their lives seem perfect, but she is hiding a darker secret about her husband, who he really is and what she is forced to do to keep the charade.

I really suck at writing dialogue, so I guess that’s why I’ve never bothered to write the story. A story like this needs dialogue, not just descriptions of what happened.

I can see this being a trilogy, as the story is about her and I have the three “chapters” of her life sorted out in my head. She has to continually re-invent who she is as her life changes and she ages.

I really don’t want to give away to much, or reveal spoilers, as the story is still unfolding. I guess it’s time to dust off the old notebook and continue the story now that it’s fresh in my mind.
