Writing Prompt: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

If I could live anywhere in the world, I would live in Carlingford, NSW Australia. I miss it there. The weather in Texas is reminiscent, but the feeling of community isn’t here.

I raised my children in Australia. They went to school there. (I’m very thankful for that.) I was active in the community. My kids were happy and well-adjusted members of society.

Unfortunately, my marriage wasn’t a happy one. I couldn’t find a job that would allow me to stay there… so I had to come home.

There’s a lot I’m not saying here, and for good reason. I’m glossing over some of the underlying rationale for the move because it’s too personal to share. (Yeah, I’m saying that in a blog.)

Life seemed simpler there. I’d go back in a heartbeat.
