- When the last customer leaves, lock the front door.
- Turn sign to “Closed”
- Spray tabletops with disinfectant
- Leave notes of anything pertinent for opening shift in notebook by register
- Make sure all phones are in their charging cradles
- Turn off the case lights
- Turn off the TVs
- Check bathrooms and back rooms for customers
- Shut down all computers
- Turn on the answering machine in stock room
- Make sure back door is closed tightly
- Do a quick check of the play area for personal belongings
- Put anything you find in the lost and found container behind the register
- Put a note in the notebook about the item you found
- Pick up any trash and throw it away.
- Wipe down door handles and frequently touched surfaces with disinfectant
- Plug in credit card machine and iPads so that they recharge overnight
- Invert all the chairs onto the tabletops
- Close out the Shift on the register – see separate sheet for instructions
- Give float to manager
- Retrieve your personal belongings from the staff room
- Put away “Manager Keys” in key safe
- Close all doors
- Make sure office doors are locked
- Arm the alarm
- Shut off the lights
- Let yourself out and lock the door
