Job Overview
Provide direct supervision to employees to ensure the business operates correctly. Duties include covering for employee absences, managing cash drops from the register and resolving problems that occur during their shift.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
This includes, but isn’t limited to:

• Assisting customers with purchase decisions.
• Assist with organized play events
• Teach new customers how to play games (e.g. Magic: the Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Pokémon)
• Processing transactions / cash register duties.
• Cash handling.
• .
• Assigning duties to specific employees based on role and skills
• Supervising employees and assisting with tasks as necessary
• Conducting performance reviews and sharing feedback with both upper management and team members
• Managing employees’ requests and transgressions
• Training new and current team members on tasks
• Handling customer issues and managing conflicts
• Performing opening and/or closing procedures

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Qualified candidates will possess the following:

• High School diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in business administration or management a plus.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Leadership skills like decision-making, motivation and goal-setting
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Exceptional organization and time management abilities
• Conflict resolution skills
• Customer service skills
• Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively
• In-depth industry knowledge
• Comfortable with workplace technology like registers, scheduling software, inventory management software
• Basic math skills
• Tabletop and/or Collective card game knowledge preferred
• Ability to lift 40 pounds
• Ability to climb a step ladder

Compensation

The starting salary is $XXX per hour and is paid on a bi-weekly basis. Applicants with certifications (e.g. Pokémon Judge/Professor, Magic: The Gathering Judge) will receive a higher base pay and will be preferred for hire. Direct deposit is available.
