Opening the Register Shift

  1. On the iPad, go to the Shopify POS app 
  2. From Shopify POS, tap ≡ > Register
  3. Tap Start tracking session
  4. Count the cash in the register bag.
    1. The total should be $175
    1. Ideally, there should be 25 x $1, 15 x $5, 3 x $10 and 1 x $20
    1. From the Manager’s Safe, add or subtract coins and bills as necessary to obtain ideal bill counts. 
    1. Fill out petty cash voucher, indicating amounts removed from the manager’s safe.
    1. Enter the amount of cash in the register drawer and tap Confirm.
