Store Manager Job Description

The Store Manager will supervise the operational and organizational standards of the store. Duties include undertaking administrative tasks, monitoring inventory levels, and developing business strategies.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Deliver high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Able to improve customer satisfaction and meet monthly sales goals.
  • Motivate sales team to achieve revenue objectives by training and mentoring staff.
  • Create business strategies that attracts new customers, expand store traffic, and enhance profitability.
  • Recruit, train, oversee and discipline staff.
  • Assign tasks to staff
  • An excellent communicator
  • Demonstrate outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Handle customer complaints and concerns.  Respond in a professional manner.
  • Ensure store compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Develop and arrange promotional material and in-store displays.
  • Undertake store administrative duties such as managing store budgets and updating financial records.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order new items as assigned.
  • Process overnight orders and get ready for shipment
  • Check vault to make sure sufficient change is on hand.  If not sufficient, make change order to bank.
  • Make sure bathrooms are cleaned, sales floor is swept and washed, windows/display cabinets are wiped down and trash cans are emptied daily
  • Receive new merchandise per procedures, enter to inventory system, place in warehouse and apply price labels
  • Merchandise store daily
  • Prep store for events.  Ensure prizing is ready/plentiful.
  • Make sure signage is straight and in place
  • Disinfect at the end of every day
  • Generate work schedule for 3 weeks in advance

Skills and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required
  • 1+ year of store management experience or 2+ years of team lead/Asst Manager experience.

Compensation
The starting salary is $XXX/year and is paid on a bi-weekly basis.  Direct deposit is available.
